If you are confused now….. you won’t be AFTER you take this online training course. Employees: The GHS Global Harmonization System Training course will teach you the difference between the “Old” standard and HCS 2012 and what you must do to comply with the changes in regulations. Supervisors and managers (including EH&S managers, supervisors and plant managers) must understand how the new GHS changes effect you so you can maintain an OSHA complaint Hazard Communication Plan.

Upon completion of this training you will understand:

  • What has changed in HCS 2012 and how to implement these changes in your facility
  • The change from MSDS’s to SDS’s and the newly expanded 16 section format (including in-depth explanations)
  • Why OSHA believes HCS 2012 will increase safety & health and promote efficiency in the workplace
  • How to efficiently obtain information on chemicals and products including chemical compositions and associated hazards
  • How to use, understand and effectively access information in the new SDS
  • The newly adopted hazard classifications that allow for more accurate evaluation of chemicals, mixtures and their effects.
